Often referred to as one of the most colourful cities in the world with its famous museums, among them the Van Gogh and the Rijksmuseum, this city is one of Europe's treasure houses for lovers of art and architecture. Amsterdam's tree lined canals reflect five centuries of architectural glory and a walk through its narrow streets will give you just a glimpse of a city that has inspired artists throughout the ages. During your stay, you can enjoy a canal cruise, visit one of the many museums, or see the beautiful tulips in the Keukenhof.

Choirs will enjoy a welcome reception in one of the famous "Brown" cafés of Amsterdam. Each choir will be asked to sing one song and the evening will end with all choirs singing 'Tulips from Amsterdam' together. During the festival, choirs have the opportunity to enjoy a city tour of Amsterdam with boat trip on the canal and a visit to a Dutch diamond factory. Choirs will see both old and new parts of this beautiful city with its many historical buildings and interesting sites, including the Royal Palace, the National Monument, the skinny bridge, the Albert Cuyp market and the beautiful houses along the Canals. Following the city tours, choirs will perform a 20-minute concert in a social institution such as an old people home or hospital. The main festival performance will take place at Vondel Church, designed in 1873 by the architect Cuypers. The festival will come to a close at our farewell dinner which will include dinner and live music. As part of this festival choirs also have the opportunity to perform during a mass or other church service.
