"The Royal Castle of Gödöllö resembles a symphony orchestra in which each musical instrument actually embodies a high artistic level itself, but joined together the sound creates the real wonder"
Prof- Dr. Laszlo Körösvölgyi
Director of the Royal Castle of
Gödöllö
Budapest is known for its old world charm and cosmopolitan living. This exceptional city offers a modern culture unlike any other. Natural hot springs run underneath the city, surfacing in the most elaborate bathhouses. This city of three towns will delight you with its wide boulevards, historic buildings, magnificent views and thermal baths.
The main performance of this 3- day festival is held in Gödöllö Castle, which lies about 30 km to the North East of Budapest. This is the largest Baroque palace in Hungary and is surrounded by 28 hectares of parkland. On the second day, all choirs perform in one of Budapest's many beautiful churches and also have the opportunity to enjoy the sights of Budapest.
The closing ceremony takes place during dinner at Csarda where all choirs join together to sing "Ode to Joy" from Beethoven's 9th Symphony.
