Marianske Lazne (Marienbad) is a relatively young spa town, developed at the beginning of the 19th century in a valley where several excellent healing streams spring from the ground. It belongs to the so-called "Westbohemian spa triangle" area and together with the other spa towns and cities, forms a very specific region full of mineral springs, natural beauties and historical towns and castles. There are forty springs within the area and one hundred in the immediate vicinity. People from all over the world are discovering the benefits and beauty of towns such as Marienbad and Karlsbad in the Czech Republic.
Perform with your choir in one of these magical spa towns and have an experience you will never forget. Choirs will perform during a church service in one of the churches in Marienbad or Karlsbad and can enjoy a concert evening at the spa of Marienbad.
All choirs will have a guided tour of both Marienbad and Karlsbad. Karlsbad is an internationally famous spa known for its medicinal hot spring waters and the long list of royal and ultra celebrity guests who once came a century or two ago. The spa town is also known for its preserved and renovated 19th century buildings.
Although mostly known by its German name, "Karlsbad" ("bad" means bath) (English spelling is "Carlsbad"), the correct czech name is "Karlovy Vary".
