On your Italian Choral tour, your choir will see Lake Garda. Verona, Venice and Bergamo, some of the most beautiful cities and towns in Italy.
Choirs stay at Lake Garda (Italy's largest lake), situated at the foot of the Alps in a beautiful area of southern Europe. Lake Garda is only 30 Km from Verona, 100 Km from Milan and 130 Km from Venice, making it the ideal location from which to explore the North of Italy.
Choirs have the opportunity to perform during a church service in Bergamo and also during a church service in Verona. There is also an opportunity to attend the Verona Opera Festival if traveling in the opera season (June/July/August).
The town of Bergamo was founded in the prehistoric age and is a beautiful Italian town. Piazza Vecchia, is the heart of the old town, and is enriched by remarkable historical and religious monuments including the Palazzo del Comune or Palazzo della Ragione, the Cathedral, St Maria Maggiore, the Colleoni Chapel and the Baptistery.
As part of their itinerary, choirs will also enjoy a day trip to Venice. Watch as the gondoliers in striped jerseys glide up and down the canals, see the famous 'Rialto Bridge' and the Bridge of Sighs, and crumbling palaces facing streets made of water. Marvel at the gold mosaics of St Mark's, admire the church art, and explore the city's maze of canals. Venice is a glorious cliché, more romantic, more beautiful and more surprising than you could expect. Amazing Italian food, fantastic Italian wine and the friendly hospitality of the Italian people make this region one of the most popular choral destinations in Europe.
