Dott. Errore Severi
Mayor, Montecatini Terme

Tuscany was the 'Birthplace of the Renaissance' and has remained a culturally enriched region of Italy ever since. The region's rolling hills, medieval and art-filled towns have captivated people for centuries. Every year thousands come from all around the world to enjoy the warm sunshine, friendly people and stunning countryside this area has to offer. Home to some of the most extraordinary art collections in the world, all who visit fall in love with the history and traditions of this amazing place.

The town is proud to have been host to several famous guests including Toscanini and Gigli and has even provided inspiration to the Tuscan poet Guiseppe Giusti who lived here. Puccini is believed to have composed the third act of La Bohème here.

The Music Garden "Tettuccio" in the town's Thermal Park is one of the Festival's venues together with the city's many squares and churches of Montecatini Terme. Other venues include churches in neighbouring villages and the Thermal Spring area. Relax on a visit to nearby Florence, Lucca and Pisa and revel in the beauty of Tuscany. Choirs may also enjoy an "open-air" performance in Florence or Lucca. All choirs perform 'O Signore del tetto natio' (Verdi) together in the closing ceremony.

The opening ceremony takes place at Spa Garden Torretta with a "Torch Parade" from Tettuccio to Torretta.
