Tuscany was the 'Birthplace of the Renaissance' and has remained a culturally enriched region of Italy ever since. The spa "Montecatini Terme" was well-known in the Belle Epoque period as a meeting place of aristocrats, authors and artists. Giuseppe Verdi, Spencer Tracy and the Duke of Windsor packed their suitcases without further ado when they had trouble with their liver and travelled to Montecatini Terme. The town is proud to have been host to several famous guests including Toscanini and Gigli and has also provided inspiration to the Tuscan poet Guiseppe Giusti who lived here, whilst Puccini is believed to have composed the third act of La bohème here.

Choirs will also enjoy a full day guided tour to Florence where there is time at leisure to enjoy an Espresso at the Piazza della Signora looking at the Palazzo Vecchio. Florence is a city full of atmosphere with striking buildings, formidable galleries and treasure-crammed churches. The cultural and historical impact of the city is breathtaking.

Choirs will also visit Pisa, known throughout the world for its famous Leaning Tower and Lucca, the birth city of Giacomo Puccini and Luigi Boccerini.
